What is Offset vs Digital Printing?
Offset printing technology is the best choice when larger quantities are needed, providing accurate and professional color reproduction at the most cost-effectve per-piece price. Through the use of aluminum plates, an image is transferred to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface to produce the highest possible print quality.
Digital printing is the proper solution when lower quantities, short turnaround time and variable data elements are required. By printing from a digital-based image directly to a variety of media options, this method of printing has a slightly higher cost per page but is offset by savings in labor and technology required by offset.
